Viy 3D premieres in Moscow. Russians biggest movie up to now was supported by Stereotec equipment and crew. Have a look at the trailer.
in Film Release
Lead Stereographer Florian Maier received another Lumiere Award for „Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters“. The movie was chosen to be the „Best 3D Feature“ 2013 at the I3DS Europe Awards. STEREOTEC was providing equipment and 3D crew for shooting the Paramount production. The movie was a worldwide success with more than 225 Mio USD earned at the Box Office.
in Awards
In December STEREOTEC shot a commercial for the well known Turkish brand „Arcelik“. Shooting took place in a Studio in Istanbul shot with two Red Epics on a fully motorized STEREOTEC Light-Weight-Rig. Shooting was exactly as fast as in 2D. The additional recorded metadata was very important as most of the set will be CG built. Stereography was done by Senior-Stereographer Florian Maier and his crew.

Stereotec just finished shooting a 3D commercial for Shvabe, a company that manufactures scientific glass for the space industry. The shooting took place in a studio in Moscow. DoP was the renowned Russian cinematographer Maksim Osadchiy („Stalingrad“). It was shot with two epics on a Lightweight rig including STEREOTEC’s full automatic workflow – this made an extreme fast shooting speed possible; the 3D shooting didn’t take even a single minute longer the in 2D… The shoot was led by Senior Stereographer Florian Maier. Stereotec finished shooting „Call her Lotte“ – a 3D drama short about how the friendship of two women helps saving a child from the Nazis during the 3rd Reich. It was shot with one STEREOTEC Midsize Rig and the new STEREOTEC Lightweight Rig. DoP was Christof Wahl, who is cinematographer on Germanys most successful movies. Stereography was done by the STEREOTEC team led by Senior Stereographer Florian Maier.More info will follow soon…

After winning the „Dimension 3“ award for „Wickie And The Treasure Of The Gods“ last year, STEREOTEC is back in the competition now. The 3D commercial „VW Beetle: Flower Power“ has been nominated in the Special Format Category. The award ceremony will be held at the Dimension 3 Festival in France (June 18-21).
„VW Beetle: Flower Power“ was realized by Stink London and Stillking Prague with Ivan Zacharias directing and senior stereographer Florian Maier. The commercial was shot with two Phantom Flex on a STEREOTEC Mid-Size Rig.
