„The Return of Viy“ is a big budget 3D feature film about an old Russian myth. The movie is currently shot in Czech Rebulic using Stereotecs MidSize Rig and two Alexas. The Stereographic Service is done as well by Stereotec. More details will follow soon…
Stereotec was chosen from the renowned agency Stink in London and Stillking in Prague to shoot the latest Beetle commercial in highspeed for Volkswagen. The spot will be in theatres soon. A detailed press release will follow.
Paramount Pictures has moved the worldwide release date of „Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters“ (starring Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton) from March 3, 2012 to January 11, 2013.Paramount had chosen STEREOTEC for the live action 3D recording of the movie because of STEREOTEC’s quick workflow and outstanding 3D quality. Two STEREOTEC Mid Size Rigs were used on set and the stereography was done by Lead Stereographer Florian Maier and his STEREOTEC crew.
In collaboration with the Centre National d’Audiovisuel and ARRI Rental, STEREOTEC was inviting to „One Day in 3D“ on December 20th, 2011, in Luxembourg.
Manfred Jahn (Head of ARRI Rental’s Technical Department) and Florian Maier (founder of Stereotec and Stereographer on HANSEL AND GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS and VICKY AND THE TREASURE OF THE GODS) were guiding through the technical requirements and options for 3D productions.
With more than 40 interested filmmakers this event was a big success!
Release date was September 29, 2011 in Germany. Florian Maier, Stereographer and his team from STEREOTEC did this first 3D feature film in Germany with Rat Pack Film Production and Constantin Film using the new STEREOTEC Mid Size Rigs. The new italian short movie from Wim Wenders „Il volo“ was supported by a „STEREOTEC mini Side-by-Side Rig“. This project represents the first Italian stereoscopic cinema production and probably the first attempt in the world to tell a true story in 3D. The STEREOTEC Side-by-Side Rig mini was used with two Si-2k to support the shooting with a very light solution in addition to a mirror rig. The production was done by Xilostudios in Italy.
